Each year, the MediaTech club organizes MIT
Sloan's renowned TechTreks and MediaTreks to leading technology and
media centers around the world including Silicon Valley, Asia, New
York, Seattle, Miami, Washington DC and Massachusetts. Over the past
two years alone, over 500 MIT Sloan students visited 200+ companies in
10 different geographies.
The MIT Sloan TechTreks give top tier MBA students an opportunity to
discuss business strategy with leading technology and media companies
and foster valuable interaction between MIT Sloan and industry. In
2006, MIT Sloan MBA students visited companies such as Intel, Apple,
Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, eBay and IDEO. Each Trek also hosts alumni
networking events which allow host companies to meet and interact with
a broader MIT community including Sloan and MIT Engineering graduates
and faculty, as well as with other companies and professionals in the
area.
